My profile is situated at the intersection between urban research, borderlands studies and design thinking, with a recent focus on creative practice research and curatorship.

Currently Teaching Assistant at Politecnico di Milano, between 2016 and 2017 I have been Assistant Curator for Tallinn Architecture Biennale TAB 2017 “BioTallinn”www.tab.ee (head curator Claudia Pasquero, founder of ecoLogicStudio).

Throughout 2016 I was involved in a 12-month Marie Curie fellowship within the context of ADAPT-r ITN (Architecture, Design and Art Practice Training-Research – www.adapt-r.eu) at the Estonian Academy of Arts (Tallinn).
As Experienced Researcher, I interacted with 33 ventourous creative practictioners investigating the dimensions of knowledge embedded in their practice (Tacit Knowledge) and the conditions and Methods under which that knowledge is revealed, deployed and shared by them within their Community of Practice.

In 2015 I was awarded a PhD in Territorial Design and Government at Politecnico di Milano. My PhD dissertation, titled “Borderscaping. An Explorative Study on the Moroccan – Spanish Border Landscapes”, focuses on the innovative interactions between ‘border thinking’ and ‘design thinking’ towards alternative forms of imagination and ecology for contemporary border landscapes.
The core ideas were published internationally on both academic and cultural publications and constitute the expanding materials of my borderlog, www.borderscaping.tumblr.com.

Between 2011 and 2013, I co-curated with Architecture Sans Frontières (ASF) Italy, a collaborative action-research project “Unexpected spaces” on the existing and potential interactions between vacant lands and local communities in two semi-peripheral neighbourhoods in Milan, www.spazinattesi.wordpress.com/about.

In 2011 I participated in “Milan & Beyond”, a public art workshop organised by Connecting Cultures and the Italian artist Alberto Garutti. The project aimed to produce new “cultural ecologies” for marginal urban areas through artistic interventions, later exhibited at Triennale di Milano.

Since 2012 I have been lecturing and teaching at: Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Escuela de Arquitectura de Toledo (Spain) and the Estonian Academy of Arts (Tallinn, Estonia).
